Travel Days
We drove to the LAX airport at noon and got in line to check our bag. We decided to check all of our bags, which we never do, because it was free. We left carrying one backpack each and made it through security. We made a quick purchase at the airport then made our way to the gate. The first flight was 10 hours, so we were prepared to get comfortable. I was lucky because I was seated next to a very bold woman who I shared conversation with many times. Throughout the flight I watched a total of 4 movies which included: Arthur's Christmas (super cute), Get on Up (depressing), Lucy (gory and disturbing), and the Holiday (amazing and heart warming). With the remaining two hours I was not watching a movie, I ate the meals the flight attendants brought which included: creamy pasta (pretty mediocre), and a cheese omelette (delicious on top of bread). When we arrived at Frankfurt, Germany I was exhausted because it was the middle of the night LA time. We headed over to a public leisure area and I fell asleep. We boarded onto our next plane that endured for another 10 hours. On our second flight, I watched three more movies: monsters university (cute), Top Gun (AMAZING), and Mr. and Mrs. Smith (very interesting). I got two hours of sleep which made me very happy! We arrived some time in the morning at the airport in Bangkok, Thailand and had to rush to get to our next flight. The airport was beautifully constructed and we needed to go down a spiral ramp to get into our gate. Our final flight only lasted for about 1 hour, so my mom and I chatted, played "Scribblenauts", and ate the meal they served: bread and cheese, bread and chicken (a square of gelatinous pink meat with flecks) and water.
